Scenes
Scenes control multiple devices with a single tap. Perfect for routines like "Movie Night" or "Good Morning".
Creating a Scene
- Go to Scenes in the sidebar
- Tap + New Scene
- Give your scene a name
- For each device you want to control:
- Select the device from the list
- Choose the action (ON/OFF, brightness, color, speed)
- Set the desired value
- Add as many devices as needed
- Tap Save

- Scenes page: Tap any scene card — all actions execute with animation
- Home page: Quick scene buttons below the room grid
- Voice: "Hey Smarty, activate Movie Night"
Schedules
Schedules run actions automatically at specific times. Perfect for daily routines.
Creating a Schedule
The schedule wizard has 3 steps:
Step 1 — Device & Action: Pick a category (Lights, Fans, Switches…), then select your device and what you want it to do (ON/OFF).
Step 2 — Trigger Setup: Choose Time, Sunrise, or Sunset. Set the time and repeat days (weekdays, weekend, daily, or custom).
Step 3 — Review & Name: Give your schedule an optional name and tap Save.

Managing Schedules
- Toggle: Enable/disable from the list (toggle button)
- Edit: Tap the edit icon — all fields load with existing data
- Run Now: Tap play to execute immediately
- Delete: Tap delete → confirm in OS dialog
Rules (Automation)
Rules create IF-THEN automations based on device state or sensor readings.
Creating a Rule
- Go to Rules in the sidebar
- Tap + New Rule
- IF: Select trigger — device state, time, or sensor threshold
- THEN: Select action — device control or scene execution
- Name your rule and tap Save

Hybrid Operation
All scenes, schedules, and rules work both locally and with cloud sync:
- Local: Stored in tablet SQLite database. Works offline.
- Cloud: Synced to your SmartyHome account. Restored after reset.
- Source badge: Each automation shows
